Who it’s for

Those who answer for the decision.

Board directors, C-suite executives, investment-committee members, and principal-level heads of strategy and risk — leaders who must govern under deep uncertainty without doing the analysis themselves.

What you’ll leave able to do
  • Treat anticipation as a governance duty — and tell a strong risk function from a weak one.
  • Map your organisation’s geopolitical and macro-financial exposure, including cascade effects.
  • Make robust, reversible, no-regret decisions under deep uncertainty.
  • Interrogate the foresight you are given without being captured by it.
  • Run or commission a pre-mortem and a board-level war-game.
The curriculum

Five modules, from oversight duty to anticipatory organisation.

Compressed, Socratic and exercise-driven. The same intellectual spine as our practitioner Masterclass — treated here as exposure to govern, not craft to acquire.

01Board-level risk foresight+
Why anticipation is a fiduciary and oversight matter, not a back-office function; the difference between risk management and risk anticipation; and what foresight can — and cannot — deliver at board altitude. The Delphi-to-AI through-line, reframed for governance.
02Geopolitical & macro-financial exposure+
Mapping the organisation’s exposure to multipolar fault lines — supply chains and critical inputs, markets and financing, sanctions and compliance; exposure heat-mapping; and the second-order and cascade effects that turn a distant shock into your problem.
Includes a sector-specific clinic tuned to the cohort
03Decision-making under deep uncertainty+
Decision theory for leaders: robust versus optimal choices, real options, reversibility and no-regret moves; resisting false precision; and governing the analysts — how to consume estimative intelligence critically without being either captured by it or dismissive of it.
04Crisis pre-mortems & war-gaming+
How to run a board-level pre-mortem, and a tabletop war-game of a geopolitical or economic-statecraft shock relevant to your sector — with the Platform serving as the exercise’s live intelligence feed.
Platform situation-room session
05Building an anticipatory organisation+
Embedding foresight into the governance cadence; what a good risk-intelligence function looks like and how to resource it; board-level signal dashboards; build versus commission; and the move from a one-off seminar to a standing capability.
Inside the seminar · the Platform as situation room

A live exposure, stress-tested in the room.

Rather than a screen being pitched, the Platform serves as the war-game’s intelligence feed. You bring a real exposure your organisation carries; the Platform supplies the scenarios, the indicators and the second-order effects; and the board experiences how foresight is actually consumed at decision altitude — under time pressure, with incomplete information, and with the limits of the tool stated plainly.

  • A real exposure your board actually carries
  • Scenarios and indicators — not a feature tour
  • The board poses the questions
  • Second-order and cascade effects made visible
  • The limits of the foresight stated plainly
  • The capability conversation comes last, if at all
